REPTON SCHOOL CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING GCSE SUCCESS

Repton School’s pupils are celebrating their GCSE results after three years of hard work and dedication. In contrast to the national trend of lower grade proportions, Repton School has improved year-on-year results, reflecting the professionalism and dedication of the teaching staff as well as the commitment and ambition of our pupils.

Over 61% of entries were awarded grades 7 to 9 (A* to A) and we are extremely proud of all of those who sat their GCSE exams this year. Academic aspiration thrives at Repton and this can be seen in the significant number of our pupils who gained more than seven 9’s overall.

At Repton, academic excellence is complemented by extra-curricular commitments and interests, and many of our high-achieving pupils also gained representative sporting honours at the highest level alongside their impressive grades.

Commenting on the results, Repton’s Headmaster, Mark Semmence, said: “Congratulations to all our candidates receiving their GCSE results today. This is the culmination of applied study, perseverance, positivity, and unwavering support from Repton staff. These results demonstrate that whatever passions Reptonians may have, they are supported in every aspect of school life and are well-prepared as they move on to the next stage of their education. This is a true testament to the balanced education that we offer here at Repton. We look forward to welcoming them into our Sixth Form in the new academic year.”
