REPTON SELECTION IN THE SULTAN OF JOHOR CUP.

Repton’s Head of School and 1st XI hockey captain Harry Stone has been selected to play for Great Britain in the Sultan of Johor Cup.

The international under-21s tournament takes place in Malaysia between 22nd-29th October and will see Great Britain play Australia, Japan, India, Malaysia and South Africa. At 17 years old Harry is the youngest member of the GB squad which also features Old Reptonian Alex Chihota.

Harry is a gifted member of the school’s 1st XI, successfully juggling his academic commitments with school hockey, extra-curricular pursuits, his responsibilities as Head of School, and as a member of Repton Hockey Club. In March he was presented with the prestigious Hockey Writer’s Club youth award that recognises rising talent in the sport where he was described as “a force of nature on and off the pitch”.

After a successful season that saw four Reptonians play in the U21 Junior World Cup and another making their England U21 debut in the summer, the current hockey season has seen similar successes across all Repton teams. The Girls 1st XI have so far won three out of three games and the Boys 1st XI have had a series of strong wins in defense of both their National U18 titles.
